Which account for our equity??

Options
Hi,

Sorry it is probably going to sound like a really dumb question but here goes.

We sold our house and are going to move with family while we find another house. We are going to be about 60K "leftover" when we repay mortgage and fees.

I got a form from solicitor asking us what we wanted to do with money and I stupidily put to transfer it to our current account. What kind of account do you reckon I should put it in??

We haven't got a saving account as such. Any advise on high interest saving account with no ties as we might have to take the money out for a deposit on our new house at short notice.

Thanks

Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.

Pop over to the savings and investment boards too, plenty of folk in the know htere.
  • I will do. Thanks.

I had a think about it and I guess what I would like to know is if it's really worth putting it in a saving for only a couple of months. I'll check on the saving board.

Better than stuffing it under the mattress! I'd put it in an account that requires notice of withdrawal, to avoid being tempted to dip into it.
    Been away for a while.
