MusicMagpie - item not as described

Hello, long time reader, first time poster.
Sharing this as it's a problem I'd not anticipated or have ever read about.
I recently sent MusicMagpie an iPhone 11 256gb in perfect condition (it's only 20months old, selling as o2 offered a too good to turn down Black Friday upgrade).
MusicMagpie contacted me to say that the item sent was not as specified.
They are claiming that I sent a faulty iPhone 11 128gb and are offering several hundred less for this handset.
The phone allegedly in their possession has a different IMEI number to the handset that I sent them.
I have an invoice for the original purchase from o2, a dispatch note with IMEI number and the iPhone box.
The phone was checked with an IMEI checker before I posted, to confirm that the phone was unlocked (I knew it was but wanted to be sure).
At this point MusicMagpie customer services are not being particularly helpful.
I am reluctant to have the handset returned, as I assume they will be returning a different handset.
I am mindful that I only have a limited time to accept/decline their offer.
How is this likely to go?
I'll escalate/email CEO/go LBA then Small Claims if necessary but I'd honestly rather not have the hassle.
Thoughts anyone??

at the moment you have nothing to complain about or go to small claims about.
get them.to return the phone to you - make sure you specify the IMEI number that you are expecting
If you get your phone back then all's well
If you get the other phone then you will be able to move forwards with a formal complaint to MM and court if necessary.1
