So my employer got back to me saying I'm not eligible for ssp because I haven't paid enough national insurance and that they don't know what an ssp form is. But I don't think I'm eligible for any other benefit so looks like I don't need it anyways. Thanks for all your

Your manager may not know about these things, but whoever is responsible for running the payroll should be aware!

Should I still ask for one even though I don't really need it? It's a big company as well they are just really incompetent

Have you put your figures into the calculator that I gave a link to.
"So my employer got back to me saying I'm not eligible for ssp because I haven't paid enough national insurance"
Payment of NI is not always required to qualify for SSP.

Entitlement to benefits is a very complex and confusing area, even more so for somebody who I take it is quite young and never faced the situation before.  This is where the company should be on top of their game, but sadly very clearly isn't.

So just over two weeks ago I handed in a sick note to my employer that starts on the 31st November to the 31st of December. Hadn't heard anything from them so it thought everything was fine, today I wasn't paid anything and messaged a manager and she said I wasn't eligible which is true but I'm just a little annoyed they didn't say anything and probably wasn't going to if I hadn't messaged. Looking online it says they should have sent me an SSP1 form within the first seven days? I'm a full time student so I can't receive universal credit and am now stuck without money over Christmas, what should I do?
Maybe ask them for the form?

And find a doctor who knows how many days are in November.
Oh whoops, that November date is my bad

I've asked for the form, thank you.

Just hoping it's not going to take forever, I can't believe they waited this long to tell me I'm not eligible :/
Yes, although with all pay issues the employee has an equal responsibility to understand their entitlements and check that their pay is correct.
