Morning, it's a bit dull today, yesterday was nice and clear.We went to the nativity at DGS school- it was lovely. He had quite a few lines as he was a narrator so we had a good view of him, it was a modern musical version and the children were very enthusiastic. They were allowed home once they'd changed & it was early enough after DS had dropped us at home for him to go and pick DGD up too so she was pleased. I had time to put the chicken in too so we had chips with it, and a nice chat with a friend while it was in the oven.

DH came home with a case of 24 beers from his builders merchants, they didn't do it last year so he was happy!

I want to make some mushroom soup as I have some lovely mixed ones from my veg box. I'll make some stock once I've picked the chicken clean of meat & there's probably enough left on it for another meal, so I shall love you and leave you & wish you all a nice day x

Happy Birthday Nels  - hope you enjoyed your day and your Chinese. Haven't had Chinese for ages - will have to rectify that in the holidays.
Lovely day at work today  kids loved their party and meeting Santa. Little one was there - she was so excited to see him. Just tomorrow to go and then two and a bit weeks off - really looking forward to it.

Didn't get on here yesterday - it was our busy day helping at the SA. People are very generous - a lady came with a big bag of mince pies and a £20 note - lots of other donations arrived of warm winter clothes + items for the food bank.
It is 2 years ago this week that our Ddil had a double transplant - she looks so well after years of dialysis.
Been mild here for the last 2 days.
Still making fingerless mitts.
I have bought 2 new patterns for Christmas 2022 makes.
Had a phone call this evening - could I help at the Christingle coffee morning tomorrow.
