Nest thermostat packed in - boiler help

Evening ladies and gentlemen.
I have a Vaillant Ecotec Pro 28 boiler. Is there anybody out there who can tell me if it is possible to activate the central heating without using the thermostat until I can fix/replace?? I’ve checked the user manual and can’t find anything in there.
I’ve arrived home this evening to find my Nest thermostat has given up. I’m fairly certain there is nothing wrong with the boiler. It appears that the heat link on the Nest has packed in.

Any help is greatly received, otherwise it could be a cold morning!
Cheers!

To answer my own question, in case anybody Googles this in the future - no - it isn’t possible.Spoke to Nest support over the phone this morning. They are sending a new heat link, next day delivery, free of charge. They have also said that if I send an invoice for a heating engineer fitting it, they will reimburse up to £100. They also offered to pay up to £50 if I wanted to buy a temporary thermostat. Excellent service considering this is a 2.5 year old unit.In the mean time I have wired the stat wiring to an isolator so we can have the heating on while we’re waiting.Jobs a goodun.2

Same happened to me two months ago; same response from Google and the new heat link arrived the next day. I never managed to get the refund for having it fitted because I didn't have Google pay and then MY FAULT I didn't follow up and then one week led to the next and that was that in the end. I don't think it was Google's fault, but they didn't make it easy. I was just glad to have the new heat link and a functional boiler (ours packed in just as the temps dropped to freezing two months ago). Installation was about £60 from a local guy off their list of installers from their website.

They also sent a replacement display unit so I have a spare if that fails at any point. All round, very happy with the result. Through gritted teeth - well done Google!1
