ALPHASON CLEVELAND DESK

This desk has a filing drawer for A4 files. The files fit okay, however when you put a plastic tab on top of the file the drawer will not close.
I have reported this to the retailer and also the manufacturer. They have dismissed it saying all the specifications are correct even though they were not specified on the advert online.
I set up a dispute resolution with Nationwide who spoke to the retailer and they dismissed it.
I set up a section 75 with Nationwide who listened to the retailer again and again they dismissed it even though it was not fit for purpose.

Shame it doesn't do what you wanted. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Rather than try to be as "clever" as previous posters I'll attempt to help the OP by suggesting this would be better posted on the Consumer Rights board, if you have a question that you want to be answered, or on Praise, Vents and Warnings if you just want to let off steam.

Unfortunately I don't think you can claim it's not fit for purpose because A4 files do fit in it. It's only when you add plastic tabs that they don't and I guess they can claim it is not a necessity to use the tabs. I can see how frustrating it is, it is obviously easier to locate documents in the file if labelled up. Would a cardboard label attached to the file work at all?1
