I have received a CCJ from a credit card I received a default on from over 15 years ago, I was paying £1 for a long time but a change in interest rate wiped out the monthly payments I was transferring into the account that the payments were coming from and ended up closing the account, I called the ORIGINAL debtor but they said they couldn't find the account and the bank couldn't provide me with the sort code and account number that I had being making payments to so I was unable to re-setup the £1 a month payments.
The CCJ form arrived 2 days after my brother went into hospital and we were told he had a 100,000 : 1 chance of survival, I called them and explained and they put it on hold, a few weeks after the funeral I called them and requested the original contract and months later they sent it through, not knowing what to do from here I hid from it hoping it would go away but ultimately they resumed the court process and I now have a CCJ, i have a few weeks to pay the amount (under £5000) or else, I'm not sure but I'd rather not find out.
What do I do now?
I certainly cant afford to pay it.
Thank you, Kevin.

If you can't afford to clear it in time avoid the CCJ being applied, all you can do is agree a repayment plan.
But you'll need to find out the amount, not just make random payments.0 -
If they have obtained a CCJ you have a fixed period (30 days I think) to pay it else it will be recorded on your file for the next 6 years and they will be able to use bailiffs to come and try and collect the debt. Your only real option is to agree to a payment plan and suck up the negative impact of the CCJ. Unfortunately the time to deal with this was long ago as this will not go away.

When did you last make a payment or acknowledge the debt in writing, more than 6 years ago ?

If that does not apply, then I assume it was a judgement to pay forthwith, so you can change that to an instalment plan by completing court form N-245 and returning it to the court -
