TERMS AND CONDITIONS for MINI

 

1.Entry ROUTES and Costs	Entries are restricted to one per person.   Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:   Online at  https://planetradio.co.uk/magic/competitions/   Online entry is free of charge.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	There are two ways to win this competition. Entrants can enter both competitions, however winning on air will invalidate your entry for the online competition.   ENTER THE ONLINE COMPETITION: There will be one online winner. The winner will be chosen by electronic random draw from all those that correctly answered the question on the competition page when the competition closes.  The draw will take place in the week commencing 27h December 2021.   THE ON AIR COMPETITION AND HOW TO WIN   The competition will air during the Magic Radio’s Simon Phillips show 1600 and 1900, Monday to Friday between 20 December to 24 December 2021 (“The Promotional Week”). There will be five on air winners in total, with one winner winning each day of The Promotional Week: Monday 20th December 2021 Tuesday 21st December 2021 Wednesday 22nd December 2021 Thursday 23rd December 2021 Friday 24th December 2021   To enter, listeners should pre-register by answering the question on the competition page correctly, selecting which competition they would like to enter; the on air competition, and registering their details correctly. Up to 5 semi-finalists per day will be selected at random from valid pre-registered entries and put into a shortlist. The shortlist for each day’s competition will take place at 12pm on the day of the competition so a follows;  Monday 20th December at 12pm Tuesday 21st December at 12pm Wednesday 22nd December at 12pm Thursday 23rd December at 12pm Friday 24th December at 12pm From this shortlist of semi-finalists one finalist will be chosen at random and taken through to the next stage of the competition which will involve them playing the on-air Mini Christmas Quiz. If the finalist chosen at random doesn’t answer their phone on the first attempt or cannot be contacted, we will choose a new finalist from the shortlisted entries until we get through to someone. Any person that is shortlisted for this competition across the promotional week, will be invalidated from winning any future prizes for this Magic Radio competition that week both for on air and online. Each day, the finalist brought to air will be asked 3 festive questions by the presenter. To win the prize, the finalist needs to answer all three questions correctly. For each question, the presenter will give a clue should the finalist not know the answer.  Failure to answer all 3 correctly will mean the finalist does not win the prize & will forfeit their place in the competition. All final decisions will rest with the Magic Radio Production Team. The Magic Radio Production Team reserve the right to pre-record any part of this competition with contestants before the 'as-live' broadcast. Contestants must therefore be available to record the on-air segment at a time and by the method instructed by the Magic Radio Production Team.     If the contestant wins a prize and it is subsequently discovered that they do not fulfil these specific terms and conditions, nor the general competitions terms and condition, they will be disqualified. 3. ENTRY PERIOD	Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:   Online: From Wednesday 15th December at 9am (the “Start Time”) to Sunday 26th December at 11.59pm (“End Time”)   On air: From Wednesday 15th December at 9am (the “Start Time”) to Friday 24th December at 11.59am (“End Time”). There will be a prize draw daily for the on-air competition where the shortlist is drawn at 12pm on the day of the competition so a follows;   Monday 20th December at 12pm Tuesday 21st December at 12pm Wednesday 22nd December at 12pm Thursday 23rd December at 12pm Friday 24th December at 12pm   Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time for either entry route will be invalid.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry. Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. If anyone has won a competition on any Bauer Media brand (see point below) to the value of £500 or more in the past 6 months, they or any person at the winning address will not be eligible to win the competition. Winning the on-air competition will trigger this condition for the online competition. THE PRIZE	The online winner will receive the following prize (the “Prize”):   1 x £500 by BACS transfer or via cheque. *To receive BACS, the winner will need to provide their bank account number & sort code.   Each of the five on air winners will receive the following prize: 1 x £500 by BACS transfer or via cheque. *To receive BACS, the winner will need to provide their bank account number & sort code.     All prizing is provided by Bauer Media (the “Prize Provider”). Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable.   *Please note that due to the current Covid-19 situation, there may be delays to delivery and to the winners being contacted by Bauer Media. These may exceed the 28 days delivery period as stated in our General Terms and Conditions.

1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

1. MISCELLANEOUS.

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.
