Plumbing Quote

Options
Hi,

What would you expect as a rough figure for the following:

> Remove small radiator in two bedrooms then install and supply new large double panel radiators in the centre of the wall (currently the small ones are tucked up in the corner of that wall in both those bedrooms)
> Remove old towel radiator then install and supply new towel radiator in En-Suite - straight swap, no repositioning.
> Balance new radiators and re-pressurise (unvented system)

Estimated time is most of tone day with 1-2 plumbers.

Thanks

How long is a piece of string. In my experience plumbers don't like to give quotes. The usual explanation given over the phone is how much the callout is, how much their hourly rate is for the first half hour etc. But this is many moons ago but maybe it's changed nowadays.
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

Overall figure is going to depend on what you choose. A quick Google shows prices from £40 to £400 for a towel rail radiator.

Price will also depend on the amount of work needed to reroute the pipework to the new radiator position.  If the OP is happy for the pipework simply to be run along the wall to the new position it will cost less than if floors have to be taken up etc.

Ok so the radiators and towel rail are standard he said - nothing specialist since it didn’t request anything specific. Pipe work is currently on the wall for both so no floorboards need to come up. Just a ballpark figure would be great or even just a rough labour figure? Thanks

Thanks. I live in Bedfordshire. Is a plumber more expensive than a heating engineer or are they similar? What would you say the average price for a whole day is for an experienced plumber? £400 ish?
