Proof of damage

  • Thank you for your  replies.  The only proof was a picture of the neighbour filling in the cracks when they first appeared during the renovation. which reappeared a year later and have got progressively worse. .. I feel the movements are on their side as they are constantly doing diy when the cracks seems widen on my side. There is no point fixing the cracks as this could  keep occurring. The neighbour has even stated this that they wont fix it as the cracks may come back again. There was quite an extensive renovation along the party wall area of the building. There could not be any doubt that their works caused the problems. I home was not like that before

The neighbour said they would not engage with me unless I went through solicitors,  they fixed a part of the problem, taking the wall down they built on my side of the boundary  and now ignoring solicitors letters for the rest . This has cost me quite a bit of money. How is that fair?..I wont get my money back and they are taking me for a ride.  My solicitors found out  they were taken to court for the similar reasons in the past...

This has caused me so  much stress and finance...This should not be allowed to happen..to many loopholes. I have now put in a claim so see what happens. I tried to engage with the neighbours again  but all they are saying is to prove it.

If I could afford to continue with solicitors I had a good chance of winning..but its not about money I just want them to fix the problem as this will affect my property in the future should I want to sell.
Ill try to post surveyor letters.  Thank You all
