Entering U.K. 3 days after original planned date

I have been trying to get a hold of the test company but can’t get through.

I was originally going to arrive back in U.K. on 15th December. Bought the day 2 PCR tests and was obviously going to take them when back in the country.

Can’t travel until 18th due to sick child.

Want to know if I can use the same tests, even though they will be delivered on the 15th. I will take the test on 20th (2nd day back) and return the test.

Will it be a problem for my passenger locator form as the reference number is for the tests that will be sent out on the 15th.

As long as I take the test on the 20th, it shouldn’t matter when I have three delivered?

The thing I’m worried about is if I try to enter the uk on 20th, as the PCR reference number is for tests saying I get back into the country on the 18th.

Thanks for any help

all you have to do is take the test within 2 days of arrival in uk and post it off using the supplied 24hr tracked label. Royal Mail will deliver it to the lab and you will get the result back and a certificate to download.

the order number on the PLF is simply to confirm you have a test waiting at home to use.

You should be able to do so for a postal test.

Due to the need to isolate at home until the result is back, it may be worth considering taking and posting them on the date of your return for a faster return. The test must be taken on or before the 2nd full day back (the day of arrival is day 0).
