Opus Energy Premium Telephone Line

I was shocked today when I checked my phone bill which showed a 16 minute call to Opus Energy's main advertised telephone line charged as £28.30 + Vat. This is around £2 per minute. My call was to reduce my electricity bill by £10 (incorrectly billed by Opus) only for them to make over £28 from my call! For a well known sizeable company to behave in this way is a downright disgrace. My advice is "do not deal with Opus".

Are they not a Business supplier .

They advertise an 0843 number which is not a "premium rate" number. Should only be charged between 8p and 65p per minute depending on your provider. Opus would not get any income from this.0

as far as i know it has been illegal since 2014 to use 0845 etc numbers for customer service
