BW Legal/Britannia Parking Letter

Hey all, hope someone can advise me on the below issue i have, its stressing me out a smidge.
on 17/11 i received a letter from BW Legal saying that i failed to make valid payment on a parking charge notice from a contravention on 30/8. The Britannia fine was £100 and BW Legal added £60 for their costs. I emailed them to ask why did i not receive any PCN from Britannia and they send me 2 scanned copies of letter they sent. They issued the first letter on the 6/9, that day i moved from my home in the Scottish Borders to Aberdeen, later on the 6th changed my addresses on all accounts, licences and car reg. The second letter "final reminder" was issued on the 24th September to my old address again.
I don't have an issue paying the original fine as i was in the wrong (parked up to input an address into my satnav), i just have an issue with being fined £60 for a fine i didn't even have the change of paying on time.
Does anyone have any advice, my DVLA records could not have been more upto date, im not in the wrong for not paying on time as i never received any of the original 2 letters from Britannia.
TIA

Did the two scanned letters point to your previous scottish address ?3

Yes, the 2 scanned letters from Britannia had my previous Scottish address on, I assume when it was passed to BW they ran another check and sent their letter to my new address.patient_dream said:Did the two scanned letters point to your previous scottish address ?

You stay in Scotland, so there will be no county court claim. Makes no difference where the car park was, you are outside of jurisdiction.
Ignore them.
It is not a fine, you do not have to pay it and nothing will happen as you live North of the border.
Stop emailing and certainly no phoning them, stop taking this seriously. Do not respond. BW Legal do not file claims in the Scottish courts. They are trying it on, looking for an easy touch who thinks it's a real fine. You are not that person.
Next year you will get 'keeper liability' in law, so be aware things will change BUT NOT for old cases, obviously the law isn't retrospective. Next year there will be Government regulation and a proper code of practice and single appeals service.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
