I'm not sending an LBA. I would just be letting them know that the tactic of trying to persuade me to give up by forwarding my complaint to an unused mailbox won't work. That's all - I never said that I thought it would constitute an LBA.
  • Why wouldn't you just send a LBA?

Agree that rather than writing to them a second time (all resolver is is just an email relay system) warning them that next will be a LBA, and then probably having to write the LBA, you might as well skip the second use of resolver.

An alternative would be a CEO email: Martijn.deLange@hermes-europe.co.uk

Clearly Martijn won't actually read your email, but it might get read by a competent human who will give you the claim form etc. to claim the cost of the missing parcel, which you will have had to refund to the buyer.

Edit: Or twitter, facebook or your social media of choice. Basically, any more creative route that will get the attention of someone not at the complete bottom of the payscale.

But it is a letter before action. If you mention the next stage is Small Claims Court.

LBA them, then SCC after 7 days. That's the process.
