Scottish power switch deal
Hello all, wondered how this deal looked. Currently on the Greener Future February 2022 B1 deal. Standing charge 20.87p and unit charge of 14.359p.
Being offered an ‘exclusive’ deal called Exclusive fixed March 2023, standing charge 18.63p and unit charge of 23.01p. This looks better than the standard deal and with 10 weeks or so left on the green future deal I am not sure if to consider this or stay as I am. Any advice would be helpful.

Edited to say my annual usage is around 5500units per annum.

Hi,just a quick glance at the prices, so, standing charge you save about 2p a day, unit charge extra, say 8p a day.If you use 5 units a day, old price about 93p. new price about £1.15.If you switch now, you will probably be on the new tariff, it doesn't carry until Feb 22, but then, gotta think what the new price cap will be.Your choice.1

If you're anything like me (and you might not be), over the next 10 weeks you'll use almost half your annual energy. That would be around 2500kWh, which at the increased unit charge would cost an extra £215 vs. staying on your current tariff.Personally, I'd wait until the current fix expires.Edited to reflect the annual consumption the OP gave in the following post (below this one).N. Thanks, yes a difficult deal to consider for me, mostly terrible with numbers. I am high end user around 5500k per annum. The unit charge therefore most important but inevitable. No ones has a crystal ball to know when and if prices will lower so it’s a punt I was wondering if anyone here would suggest. Again, thanks.0
