BG exclusive fix Oct 2023

Had an email from BG offering a change to this fix from their present tariff of  Exclusive Energy Feb 2022v2. Have done some sums and apart from the £75 exit charge per fuel they don't look to bad considering how energy prices are due to increase next year. I'm wondering whether anyone else have done the sums and whether it's worth changing or waiting until Feb.

What are the unit rates and standing charges?

Gas standing charge is 27.494 per day. The unit rate is 5.628p/kWh.
Electric standing charge is 33.088 per day. The unit rate is 27.393p/kWh.

I can only comment on electricity as don't have gas. Seems quite high but anybody's guess what it will be like in April and whether you want to pay higher prices from now (assuming a new fix would start immediately).

Will be interested in others thoughts on those rates.

This looks very fishy to me. My bones tell me they're trying to lock customers into a deal they will regret.

(Disclosure: I am a cynical and very dissatisfied ex BG customer.)

I locked into just over 22p UP and just over 24p SC with EON - but there was not exit fee.  Should I be wrong in April, it will have cost be about an extra £50, but I would not have an exit fee to pay.

£75 per fuel exit-fee shows this tariff for what it is - one that should be avoided
