Morning all. It was OHs birthday on Friday so we did birthday things, which involved computer games, food, a visit to a club in the afternoon/evening, and then friends round for the later evening. So yesterday we did nothing SO all vague plans were ignored. I might get my car back Monday, whch would be nice, if I didn't have to juggle a hopsital appointment in there too. It's one of those, will I get it back before, after or during, do I have to catch a taxi, get a lift... I won't lie, being without has gradually got more and more annoying. I didn't realise how much I relied on being able to get out of the house, not to go shopping because that can be delivered, just to get out of the house really. Ah well, first world problems eh...We have roast chicken today, one less thing in the freezer and it's gradually going down. The little chest freezer was a good idea but I think an upright little drawer one might have been better, it's just too easy to lose things to the murky depths...I found a packet of fish I didn't know I had when I got the chicken out last night, so much for an inventory. I'm freezer shamed, but hearing your stories makes it feel like being part of a freezer support group...
Scarlet, hope it sorts itself out soon. Sometimes it's hard to know whether to do something or not do something, say something or not...TA, well done on your freezer wrangling and enjoy a spot of high life and normality later on! Izzy, what is it you do? Don't answer if it's too personal. Coxy, enjoy your peripatetic day and good news about your dad..Gers, well done on giving up intentions and pleasing yourself with no pressure...enjoy the gin tonight if it happens... NRA, also good news about your with no fracture. Nelski, how disapointing about your casserole...hope the dish is OK...But chance of a burger instead
Ruby, good ot hear you're better. Take care all, have a less arctic day today...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9 -
Morning all, I didnt get on yesterday but had a quick catch up last night. Coxy & NRA get well wishes to your DDads and Dp1's DGD- hope she is getting used to the oxygen, she's so brave bless her.Florence, yes I like Bury Market, it was quite bustling despite the rain. The older shopping centre is next door, all under cover so quite handy. Your photos of the harbour were lovely.DH is pressure watching the back patio & hopefully the front path, it's York stone so gets a bit green and slippy after a lot of wet weather. It looks like it's an inside day for me as once he's done that he'll be helping DS with the camper van projectI've got the instant pot on slow cooker mode with a beef joint in, DH has been mithering for a beef roast dinner with all the trimmings for a couple of weeks. I also have some Bramleys to deal with so might make some apple sauce or a pie filling. DGDs away football match has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch, DGS went ahead yesterday- they both play home matches on artificial turf. Before we went we called at the post office to air mail 2 cards, friends in USA and Aus, & needed more stamps too so hopefully can get the rest done and dusted soon.Glad you got the freezer sorted TA, and enjoy DGDs performance tonight ,DS got 2 tickets for DGS Nativity performance on Wednesday, 2 years since we last saw one & last years would have been the last at his Infant school
still we must make the best out of the sorry situation and be thankful this year's is going ahead!Take care all xx

Late to the table again, breakfast in bed, started reading next thing it was 10am, shower and dressed, I now need to prep supper. I have a chicken to cook, it comes ready in a metal tray and a bag.......worth paying a little bit extra for, It will do us 3 meals plus stock for soup.
Gardener called yesterday and planted the rose for us on the other side of the trellis, so a rose on one side and clematis on the other, meet in the middle!!
Bright but cold morning, no plans apart from cooking supper.9 -
Afternoon everyone
Still feeling the aftermath of my booster -just so tired and achy. Went down to mam and dads this morning to do his laptop jobs...first time I'd been out since Thursday. DD dropped little one off on her way to work and she come home with me for a couple of hours - most of which she was asleep. She fussed a little about having her oxygen on -telling me - 'Only my mummy is allowed to touch it!', but was soon fast asleep. I'd forgotten how much noise the machine makes! She woke and DD picked her up just 10 minutes later.
I've decided to take tomorrow off work too, hopefully I'll feel a bit better by Tuesday.
A nice young man DD found for me came to look at my wind damaged shed this afternoon - he's going to try to straighten it up, put new felt on the roof and fix the doors. ..hopefully tomorrow afternoon. I rang the housing association on Friday - they said they're busy fixing roofs just now and hope to be on to fences by the end of January, but they won't fix sheds.
Well I'm going to make myself some tea and then have a nice bath and an early night. x

nmic- I am not very good with technology, but I have had some success with printing out pictures by making a Word Document, then copying the picture into the word document, making it the size I want, and then printing out that page of the document if that makes sense.6

Busy day here - Church this morning. Came home for a couple of hours - managed to put inserts in Mr F's business cards.
Candlelight Carol service this afternoon - Mr F and I were on the door - he was taking temperatures and I was handing out light sticks. Helped with refreshments afterwards so we were out for 3 hours. Finished another pair of fingerless mitts.
