Had credit cards for around 35 years now, currently have 8 cards, two primary, others to facilitate DDs and minimal use.
Noticed a few days ago the first ever fraudulent? transactions on any card I've ever held and I've probably had maybe 50 over the years with, once upon a time being a prolific stoozer and still a rate tart.
Just checking online banking as I do daily and note 3 x transactions at Debenhams.com for £65, made earlier in the day, none of which were made by me. Nobody else has access to the card used and it's in my possession still, and always has been. It's not a card I use for online transactions and would say it's probably only ever used in Supermarkets, on average 3 times per month.
Got me thinking, just how have my card details been compromised, is it just random selection of numbers by a chancer or is it really a mistake from the card issuer, Lloyds. Of course they won't tell me, but have immediately reversed the charges upon notification.
If it was a fraudster will they get the ordered goods?
Curious !

Don't worry, it's not unusual to be curious, but don't tie yourself up in knots over it.1
