Hi everyone,
NRA, I hope your dad is now comfortable and recovering. Coxy, your dad too, hopefully he will be out of ICU soon. dp1, she's such a trouper. Hugs to anyone else who needs one.
There's not a lot to report here. We've had Ziggy pup for the last couple of days so she is going back after a walk this morning and we will be staying overnight at L & B's. Then tomorrow we have lunch with Steve's golfing buddies and their partners, hopefully everyone will be double vaxxed and boosted by now, but if we didn't catch it after cuddles and being coughed on by Esben (who's too young to put his hand over his face) hopefully we are fairly immune.
I made a good start on the sewing/dining room, it wasn't nearly as messy as I feared it would be. I'm trying to persuade Steve that we treat the loft like the people on Sort your life out do, taking everything down and doing a cull. It will have to wait for the nicer weather when we can put it in the garden or I'm toying with the idea of doing it in sections.
Have a good day everyone.11 -
Morning all.. no idea what's on the agenda today, a bit of tidying, cleaning and putting stuff by the front door to take out of the house when I get the car back. The little girl has a new cat bed, one of the ones that hang over a radiator. Fatty won't fit in it, he doesn't like his beds to bounce, which is lucky. What usually happens is, she finds a place to sleep, he immediately needs to sleep JUST there in that place, so then for a week or two there's a tussle betwen them as to get there first. Then she loses interest and finds somewhere else to sleep, then he immediately needs to sleep in that place...etc...He's such a bully.DP1, hope your GD does well enough so they can sort out something for her less intrusive. Coxy, hope your dad is doing well today..NRA, that's just shocking...hope he's been seen by now! camelot, good to hear he's doing OK. Snoozer, love that programme, I always feel better about my house after watching it, and it also prods me into action and considering I was all set to dislike Stacey Soloman, the more I've seen her, the more genuine she seems. Before anyone shoots me down in flames, this is the only programme I've ever seen her in and I don't read or watch celebrity stuff so have no idea how she appears in the rest of any media. Ruby, hope all settles down soon! Have a lovely day all if you can, hot buttered rum to you all...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10

Good morning🌄,
Went out last night with friends for a meal and a few drinks🍻, enjoyed myself and wasn't too late to bed but then I couldn't get to sleep.
I feel a bit washed out today so I'm going to have a lazy day, just finish the decorations🎄 and maybe start sorting out the dining room, we only really use it at Christmas so is used as a dumping ground throughout the year.
I'm hoping my brother is going to call with his son next week yo move some furniture around for me. My DH has arthritis in his shoulders so can't do the heavy lifting anymore ☹
Have a good day🌻8 -
Late again today. We were up early and away to the market for veg and fruit. We had a frost, so had to clear the windscreen before we could get off. Afraid the back seat driver was very much in evidence. Had to bite my tongue several times. Soon back in the warm.
Yesterdays lunch went very well, no carols from the school children, but we sang them ourselves.
Medication arrived, fingers crossed, it is a higher dose just for 3 days.
Supper is stovies. I was going to do salad, but it's the weather for something warm.10 -
Afternoon all.
I overslept and didn't get up until 9, I put the heating on for an hour as it was absolutely baltic.
Beano's been walked twice and is now asleep on Steve's lap, I'm about to launch myself into flurry of housework, maybe.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester.Chin up, Titus out.10 -
Hello All
Thank you for all the good wishes for Ddad
He was finally seen mid evening and has been kept in they have done an xray and don't believe there is another fracture
Spoke to him this morning and he was very confused but have spoken to the ward and they are keeping an eye on him
Really have no idea how long he will be in or what happens next but will have to wait and see
Hope Coxy's Ddad continues to improve
Dp1 bless little one it amazes me how resilient little ones can be
Great excitement here as tomorrow I am hoping to get my new front door
We haven't been able to open our front for over 6 months and you don't realise how inconvenient it is so can't wait
Hope everyone has good Saturday take care and stay safe
