Another judge who believes it is OK to add spurious "debt admin" charges despite the POFA and Consumer Rights and the Beavis case (ParkingEye v Somerfiled) and latterly the Government saying it is not! Sorry to read you lost.1
-
It works in every other court!
Which court and Judge, please?
Did you point out that:
(a) the Govt has banned the fake added 'costs' (that were never actually incurred) calling them 'extortion'? That was the point of copying the WS from wob2k and using it, and understanding how to say that to the Judge.
(b) the CRA 2015 Requires for the first time, that terms and consumer notices must be 'prominent' (bound to be seen, and legible). Consumers are not required to bend over backwards to seek out small print that doesn't meet the prominence and fairness test.
Did you use the new Code and DLUHC's words about extortion, and the CRA about fairness and the obligation for prominence?
It's a rare Judge who doesn't get that if you say it. Did you say all that? Bad luck though...DJ lottery strikes again, sounds like a deluded Judge.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes I did mention all of that, the Judge was not interested. Just forget that the Judge said the new code is not relevant on this case, it will be implemented in 2024.

How on earth is he going against the clear steer from the DLUHC and granting extortion?!
Bad luck, sounds like you were faced with a brick wall of a Judge. When that happens, none of us would have won, bar a miracle.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Any advice on the next steps to take. What if I do not pay them, don't care about credit rating?0

You could get bailiffs knocking and taking your belongings - and the sum will go up, and a bad credit rating affects you for six years.

I have just received a short letter from court 'General Form of Judgment or Order' dated 8 June 2022.
IT IS ORDERED THAT
There be a Judgment for the claimant in the sum of £nnn.nn.

I have few questions:
1) Is this a CCJ?
2) How long do I have to pay the full amount?
3) Can I pay them in instalments?0 -
