Consumer rights on a faulty cooker that's out of warranty

When dealing with Ao you need to be clear whether arrangements are under the extended warranty, or under consumer rights.Under consumer rights they can offer the depreciated refund - they don't have to attempt a repair or provide a replacement if they don't want to. You could dispute the refund value but not the idea. If it was a bargain originally and something similar costs more now, tough luck.Under the warranty it's down to the terms and conditions, but also whether those terms are reasonable. In my opinion for a warranty to expect you to wait six months for a repair is *not* reasonable and the warranty should provide a replacement or money for a replacement. The money should be enough for a comparable product even if that is now more expensive.1
