Milk stain on coffee table

Some milk spilt on my coffee table and was left overnight and I can’t get it off. White strain looks like dry wood. I tried washing liquid and toothpaste and a hair dryer no joy. If I use furniture Polish it vanishes for maybe ten mins but comes back any ideas?

I've had success with mayonnaise on water marks in wood. Spread on the mark (just the mark not the good wood) then wipe off after about 10 minutes, repeat if not all gone.I think it's just the oil in the mayo that does the trick and the consistency helps it stay put.0

My mother swore by Brasso for heat marks on polished wood. Don't know if it would work for milk?

Most likely it is a water mark, not something special and milky. You need to get the water out of the finish - try gentle heat eg a hairdryer (a setting where you feel definitely warm on your fingers but not snatch your fingers away hot) or iron a towel and use that while still hot.
