I bought Indox from Amazon for £11.  You only need to do the house once a year with it.   But the cat will need done regularly if they go out.

A vet cannot buy in bulk like Amazon can, so cannot get the prices Amazon does.

It is the same principle as the price of an item in the corner shop compared with the price of the same item in the supermarket.

If you ask, your Vet should give you a bill that is broken down into the treatment costs, the costs of prescription medicines, and the cost of 'other' items such as the Indorex. I have bought flea treatments for our pets from the internet, but when you add the charge that the Vet makes for making out the prescription, there is not much saving to be had.

Given that flea treatment is a regular cost if you have a cat, you might ask if your Vet has a VIP scheme that gives discounts on flea treatment. We used the scheme at our Vets for our elderly cat as it gave discounts on all treatments.
