Rosyred - Only been to Bury market once but loved it.
dp1 - Bless her - hope she can cope with the oxygen this time.
Fine day here. Popped to SA to deliver the chocolate cones. There were 4 people arrived for the food bank before it opened at 10.
Mr F has been up in the loft to get the Christmas wrapping paper. He managed that without a mishap but fell over on the landing after putting up my ironing board. Mr F still has a bruised and swollen hand and a couple of grazes on his head from the last fall.
I plan to wrap up some presents after finishing some washing and ironing.

An eventful night has turned into a day as well
Ddad has had yet another fall and cannot walk at all ambulance called 10.30 last night arrived 10.30 this morning when I called at midday he is still in ambulance outside hospital
So I wait, its hard when we are a few hours away and even if I went up no visitors allowed
We were going up next week to take the presents but will wait and see what happens
I have been wfh for 3 weeks now as I could see things were going to change and I wanted to be away from possibly catching anything
There have now been 3 positives in the office this week
But the sun is shining and I have just prepped a beef casserole so should start to smell nice things soon

NRA 14 hour wait is just shocking and now more hospital backlog. Poor man its bad enough falling but waiting so long for essential services is awful. I hope they get him to a ward soon and he can start the care he needs. You must be so worried

Thank you and slow and steady is the way. Coming along bit by bit and Im enjoying it.9 -

NRA hoping there has been better news for you this afternoon. Such a long wait is far from acceptable but sadly it now happens far too often. (Hugs) for you all x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9

Thank you ladies
It's only 8 weeks since he broke his hip (that was a 6 hour wait for an ambulance that came from a different county) and it's the not knowing that is the hardest
Will call again shortly

Dp1 so sorry to hear about little one, hope she copes better with the oxygen this time.
NRA that is horrendous, I hope he didn't have to wait too much longer.
Back from Christmas lunch, will not need anything else to eat for quite a while. I have some cheese that needs using up, so a couple of rounds of cheese on toast and maybe the mince pies we brought backwith us.6 -
Hello everyone,
Late one from me today as DH and I had the day off and have been shopping for Christmas bits, had a nice late lunch out too. Was nice to spend some time together after his isolation period! We have stashed the turkey crown in the freezer and got a few bits for 17 yo DS2 so now he has more than just pants! Also managed to find my ‘something shiny’ which is my 50th, 51st, 52nd and Christmas pressie rolled into one. I do love jewellery but take my time finding what I want. Local jeweller has lots of antique rings, so it came from there. Very pleased with it and also pleased to support a local business.
Good luck with the knitting project Nelski – slowly but surely. Post photos of your progress

Sorry to hear you are poorly csarina – not nice. Glad you enjoyed your lunch out.
Dp1 – sorry to hear dgd needs more tests, she’s had to put up with such a lot, sending hugs xx
Glad your relative is stable poppy x
NRA – gosh your poor DDad, how awful. Fingers crossed you get some news soon.
My DDad is awake, tubes are out and he is in and out of sleep. They are controlling his pain well and StepMum spoke to him earlier. He sounded a bit groggy but that’s understandable. Such a relief to know he has 1 on 1 care in the ICU.
Tomorrow is another busy one. Picking up a car for DS2 in the morning then off to London for lunch with 3 ex-work colleagues who I’ve known 25 years. We only get to meet up once a year now, so I’m making the most of my one Christmas ‘do’.
Have a good evening everyone,
Coxy
