Hello, am just about to try my first listings on ebay but cannot get photos right with the lighting I have at home so need daylight. Silly, I know but have left it to last minute to take up an offer.
Can I list tonight and then add photos tomorrow ?

I think you will need at least one photo to list. Just get the best you can inside and edit tomorrow with some good pics.0

Why list before good pictures and leave yourself open to SNAD? Which IMO would be completely reasonable for someone who had bought before the pictures to do.

Years ago when I was a regular seller I used to use the below picture as a place holder until I could take and add proper pictures.

That is a jpg picture and not text.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -
unless you have a really really good reason for having to get the listing live tonight (eg, to make use of a free listing offer), just do what you can tonight and save as a draft, then tomorrow in the daylight go to drafts, add the pics and make it live0

If I were ever browsing eBay for something and I came across a listing like that I would go straight past it and not even consider it. It frankly looks very bad and I would have thought that it would be very dangerous indeed to bid on something with no image(s), and what's the point of the item being up if it's not really available to be bid for?Belenus said:Years ago when I was a regular seller I used to use the below picture as a place holder until I could take and add proper pictures.

I imagine the goal of that would be to then replace it ASAP after initially listing - but I don't think you can actually remove photos posted at the time of listing (though I could be wrong) and if this stayed as the main picture, I too would just scroll straight past.tempus_fugit said:

Yes you can remove pictures from a live listing, unsure whether you can do so though on an auction listing with a bid.
