SumUp have decided to create a business account with a debit card attached to it without any consent.
Any payments taken will then be paid into this account as opposed to the bank account that was requested on setting up the service.
Blimmin ridiculous

Was the "bank account that was requsted" a business account?penners324 said:SumUp have decided to create a business account with a debit card attached to it without any consent.

However, having had a swift run through their Terms I can't see anything to dictate what type of account is required, so even if the account you gave them is a personal account that doesn't appear to be an issue. Are you a new SumUp customer? It looks like they will create an account (Wallet) for every customer, so it may be that they have done that for you, and they do mention use of a card to access your Wallet. They also say in 1.4.3. " If you wish to receive your Payouts to your bank account by default, you may set such your preferences in your Account or contact us"
