Samsung smart tv

Hi
I bought a smart tv from AO online back in October 2019.
Yesterday Wednesday 8th Dec 2021 it started to show a vertical black line on the right hand side of screen.
So rang AO who told me its a manufacturer problem and put me through to samsung who gave me a local repair number.
Fair play to the AO they said samsung told them it would be a repair of a new screen costing £400.
They stated i would have to pay the call out and repair cost.
£800 for 2 years of use.
I rang the repair number myself after and they said they don't even cover my area. so I rang samsung back and they said that's the only number they have for my area ( Birmingham) and I would have to take it to a local repair or AO.
Any help would be grateful thank you.

I just need to know were I stand I believe it to be a manufacturer faulty.0

In which case, get it inspected and then go back to AO with the findings. If it is a manufacturing fault, they have to provide a repair, a replacement or a partial refund.0

you can search for a support centre here
https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/service-centre/ brings up several.
The nearest for 'Birmingham' is Nottingham.0 -

That's good news, but how did you manage to get it all sorted in about three hours, outside of normal working hours? That's either impressive customer service or you have a helpful way in with AO that might be helpful to others in future.markl1970 said:Finally got it sorted thanks to the great posts and advice for here AA plus ended up getting a % refund thank you MSE.1
