Letters from National Deb Collection Ltd

I have received 3 different debt claim letters from National Debt Collection Ltd for 3 different parking tickets on behalf of First Parking LLP based on using the sports centre of the Marjon University in Plymouth. The original tickets were never issued to me nor received through the post nor did I get a reminder of failure to pay.

Within the same period, the claims letters covered, 2 letters earlier came through the post directly from First Parking and I appealed because the 14 days given to me to respond to these two tickets was already gone by a week when this came through the post - The appeal as expected was rejected. I made the payments for these two tickets within the 28 days given or appeal to POPLA, as I did not want to pursue this further.

Then out of nowhere, the shocker of my life came with these 3 claims that were never sent to me supposedly when we were still waiting for the initial 28 days to elapse. Two claim letters came on Monday 06/12/2021 and then the 3rd came yesterday 07/12/2021.

Based on the information on the debt claim, I went online to check the validity of the tickets on the First Parking website and there I could see that all the 3 PCN have been referred to debt collection and no provision to raise an appeal or compaint. These were never posted nor delivered to me because I would have appealed all 5 tickets and stop using the sports centre entirely (I have been using this sports centre with the kids swimming lessons and netball for about 5 years before COVID and after lockdown, they apparently change the rules to compulsory pay for members per use with Automatic Plate Recognition Cameras - hence me making the other payments without fighting it).

Now, my dilemma is how do I fight these Non-Received documents/tickets from First Parking?  I cannot pay for what I do not know I owe!

They have no customers service line to raise a complaint nor an email for that and that is the same case with the debt collectors.

It is like they deliberately want to avoid being contacted but make provisions for only payments and nothing more.

I have written to both businesses to raise a dispute and objection to the charges because they never came to me

I have reached out to Royal Mail as well to know if First Parking sent anything to me but I was told log of posts are not kept.

Is there anything else I can do to stop this from being escalated to court?

Read Post Four of the Newbies Sticky please.

Then read the rest of it to be prepared in case First Parking try to take it further.

Is the address on your V5 up to date?
  • National Debt Collection Ltd are in the same category as DRP, ZZPS and Trace which we see on here.

The category is for money scammers ....
YOU IGNORE THEM as they are powerless
    YOU NEVER CONTACT THEM

Then wait to see what the PPC does

D not  even conside paying what is obviously a scam.  Read the newbies, ignore debt collectors, and complain to you MP.

You are calling these 'claims' so can you clarify that you HAVE NOT received court claims?

You've only got the tedious old debt chasers everyone gets and should shock no-one?

Can you show us those letters, we'd like a laugh and haven't seen the NDC letter chain, they are new to this scam set up (can't blame them, they can now whack on £70 a time because the trade bodies say they can, despite real debt recovery percentages being around six times less, outside of the parking industry gravy train).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Which suggests you knew nothing about it, so why did you think you were liable for a charge, and why didn't you complain to the sports centre as plan A suggests?

  • And OP if you want to see the verbal Diarrhea that debt collectors write, have a chuckle at this rubbish

This man who is the CEO of ZZPS is also a board member of the BPA ???

And that is one of the biggest jokes of the parking industry

Having done that, you had First Parking scurrying around looking for more tickets where they had a near certainty of getting more money.

In other words, having paid once (or twice), they now think you are a soft touch.
