Moving into a new home - which supplier/tariff?
We are moving into a new place this week after having our power bills paid by an employer previously.
The current supplier is EDF but with the caps/price hikes and lack of switching options we're struggling to understand our best course of action.
Can anyone advise whether to start a new a/c with EDF - and on what tariff - or should we switch?

New home or a new build ??If its an existing property then you are on a Deemed Tariff with the existing supplier .Register with them then you are free to move .0

You must contact the supplier(s) who currently supply the property, open an account with them. Read the meters and tell them the readings. Insist on being placed on the standard variable tariff, or deemed tariff (same thing). Do not be persuaded to adopt a "fixed" tariff of any sort. Current state of the energy market means it does not make senses to switch at the moment. Advice is the same whether it is a brand new property in which case the developer will have chosen the existing supplier(s), or just new to you, in which case the previous occupiers will have chosen them.
