Hi I have a Section 75 going on against a Major Kitchen Company
My bank have asked me to get an independent report on the kitchen
so I would like some advice if any one knows of any independent companies I could contact

Will that depends on what items you are having an issue with.
  • I have an issue with it all
It was Delivered Damaged, unchecked as fitters were starting the next day
They then fit the kitchen damaged did not relay any information
I could go on and on but have been asked by the Bank to have it independently reported

  • Has it been more than 6 months since delivery?

How do you know it was delivered damaged on delivery?
Was it the carcases that were damaged or  doors, worktop, trims etc?
Who's fitters where they, yours or the kitchen supplier?

If dealing with banks you'll need a Kitchen and Bathroom Trade association approved specialist to right a report, the banks will want a report that stands up in court if needed and is important if there's a dispute by either side

If the fitters were yours, they would be a good choice as independent people. Obviously this doesn't apply if they were employed by the retailer who sold you the kitchen.

Otherwise, a local independent kitchen fitter might be the best bet to do a report. It will, of course, cost you for their time.

So its was within 30 days of delivery?
What was the issue with the merchant that made you go down the S75 route? Banks are more likely to ask for reports etc in this initial window than the merchant (both are entitled to until after 30 days but then the resolution changes)

Why would they fit any damaged parts? If it was unchecked until fitting how do you know they didn't just mess it up.

There are plenty Yosser Hughes out there, by the time you find out it's too late.

It's unusual to fit damaged parts so I can see why the supplier is wary and obviously has a differnt POV, hence the S75 requiring an independent report.

If they were the companies fitters then thats a different matter, the details are important.
