Tsb payment flagged

I’ve just logged into my tsb to say it’s been blocked and to call them up, they then said a payment had flagged up and they need to investigate it, has anyone had this before and how long does it take!

    Many people will have experienced similar, but it isn't really practical to generalise about how long for - are you talking about a payment you're trying to make (which should be released quickly if you provide adequate explanation) or an incoming one (likely to take longer to investigate)?

    Was a £50 payment incoming from a close friend I borrowed on weekend to pay me back

    Based on previous threads on here, account blockages for investigation of incoming payments are often measured in weeks or even months rather than hours or days, so hopefully you have access to funds elsewhere....

    Why not do as TSB said and call them up to discuss the problem?

    Isn't that what "they then said" indicates - that they had called TSB?

    If the OP had indeed called TSB they should have asked how long the investigation would take, rather than expecting strangers on this site to speculate.
    Well no because they said we can’t give you a timeframe, I asked on here to see if people have had similar experiences and how long it took for them

    Banks aren't allowed to disclose any details of such investigations, so won't be able to offer any guidance about durations....
