You can ask for what you like, but IME tradesmen aren't that fond of using computers / the written word. Your plumber may be different, though.

    I agree with Rosa.

It is not that easy to get good plumbers, and the bill sounds about the right ballpark. So, if you are satisfied with the quality of the work, do you want to pee them off by insisting that they get all the paperwork perfected?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

The invoice appears to accurately describe the work so is a valid invoice.   Most plumbers in my experience will give a breakdown on the invoice, but you cannot insist that they do unless that was part of the agreement you had with them.   If the price was a ridiculous price and you were contesting the invoice through the courts, then a lot would depend on a breakdown, but on the face of it, the price does not seem massive.
  • I'll give you a price for the job, I'm not breaking it down because it doesn't matter, you are either happy & accept the price or you don't
My plan too . I never give a breakdown of materials / ( so the customer can add up labour ) I had one wanting to provide receipts for plastic fascias . I already had them off a previous job but was honest in how much they would have cost me . Job done all happy . still didn't do a breakdown for this . Job to do £xxx.00 . Job not to do £0

    100% agree
The only people who want a breakdown after the event are going to cause trouble in all sorts of other ways

I had an imbecile do this to me before I learned better
    |I went on an emergency callout for a business  and  invoiced 2 hours
The customer rang me up and said I was only there 1 3/4 hours  and would I like to reissue the invoice
I thanked them and told them i had failed to account for travelling time but would let it go.
2 months later I had another callout
This time I was there for only 1 hour
I invoiced the same amount for emergency callout without any time quoted and guess what
    They paid without comment
