Had a quote to repair this

for the best part of 3 grand, I understand that it's a messy job but is it fair?
It includes rebuilding the wall and removing the plant

I would say that £3K might be a fair price to rebuild the wall, providing the bricklayer is good. Have you seen other examples of their work?
It's not clear whether the wall is forming part of a habitable room. If it is, does the work involve building and inner leaf as well, and/or installing insulation in the cavity? Is the job being done properly, e.g. are sufficient wall ties being installed.The comments I post are my personal opinion.
