Charis Grants Unacceptabl Unacceptable Monopoly

Charis is an unacceptable and unaccountable Monopoly!!

Every year I have a dreadful experience with this company when applying for the British Gas Warn Home Discount . Charis makes applying for this payment both stressful and frustrating for those individuals who are already vulnerable.

They take no responsibility for how they manage the application proccess for those applying for the WHD. It simply a case of wait and see and we will get round to you application eventually, if there is an issue we might contact your or more likely just reject your application or waste so much time in nit picking your application that your application will fail to be processed due to a lack of requested information.

They act for Energy companies in the collation of data to access eligibility for individuals and when contacting them, they identify to the caller as British Gas ( or other energy suppliers) and not Charis, implying that your speaking to your energy supplier. I've contacted BG directly and they are proccessing a complaint about misleading customers.

Charis will accept no direct responsibility for how they both request personal information that it can take weeks for you to obtain tequited information from various benefit agencies and how they are managing your personal information during the entire application process, they in my experience are breaking GDPR when an applicant requests progress on how Charis are managing their personal data during their accessment of your application and the refusal to account for your data's usage through their application process.

Charis will not confirm at any time on how your application is being accessed or even when your application will be accessed. 

Charis present themselves as a caring, socially aware comany and seemingly forget that vulnerable individuals who have been waiting months for this application to be accessed are being mentally abused by their internal accessment proccess.

Charis will not provide to applicants any form of complaint procedure to the individual applicant, I have had my request to lodge a formal complaint with Charis being flatly refusal, denied any form of complaint procedure and threatened with disconnection if I persisted with requesting to speak to a manager. Charis's Customer Service is totally unacceptable by any mesurement, for any company to fail to comply with any basic standards of service and being unaccountable is alarming.

After applying via your energy supplier, it can take Charis months to contact you for the required information to access you application and if your presented information is in any way incorrect or has a simple error.  In my experience I cannot recall an occasion when they have bothered to contact me regarding any issues with my personal application, I have only ever discovered any application issues when I've contacted Charis after months of no contact!!.

Charis when you contact them claim to be your energy supplier, but act without care or sensitivity which is contory to their own self serving wed site. The energy companies employing Charis are having their own reputation damaged by an unaccountable company impersonating their organisation and acting in a manner that is acting in a manner that fails disabled, vulnerable and deprived applicant's of the WHD.

Charis's whole application proccess is degrading to anybody having to use their services and defeats the premise that the WHD scheme is there to help people during the winter period, the money from this scheme is needed during the winter months, not in March. Delays in proccessing applications by Charis is causing hardship and stress to the individuals in need of this money.

Charis seem to have a Monopoly in acting to proccess all applications for the WHD scheme, it is my opinion that this company needs to be investigated, no company providing such an essential resource should never be unaccountable.
