TSB QIF file download

Evenin' All, yesterday & today I have been unable to download qif statement which I have been doing the past 3yrs. CSV is ok but I don't have xcell installed, I can d/load my Santander ok(all going into Banktree 3) . Waste of time speaking to tsb, they say it must be the computor, anyone else had problems?
Cheers
Paul

Not an answer to the question that you asked, but you don't need to have Excel installed to read a CSV file. If a CSV is good enough for your purposes, you can get a free spreadsheet program that will happily open it. I use LibreOffice. It's available for Windows, MacOS and Linux.
  • Thanks blue.peter. Banktree have advised it's something to do with a BOM character, I've checked this out & it's still the same. I have Open office installed & have managed to d/load that way.
    Thanks

Hi I also cannot download statements in the QIF format. Excel is ok but then I have to manually enter the amounts. First TSB put the wrong date format on QIF files and then now no downloads the comput just flickers once. I have used Microsoft Money since 2000.

  • I've just tried to download qif from TSB today too and get a message that I don't have the right app!  Have been downloading qif from TSB for years.  Have really got to the end of my tether with TSB ..... anyone else having this problem or have a solution?  The accounting software I use only accept qif .
  • Have successfully downloaded a qif using Edge. Haven't checked Chrome yet, but that was the browser I used when the download didn't work.
