DD guarantee - instruct the bank to refund ALL the payments that have been taken. And if you've already instructed the bank to not authorise any (further) 3UK DD requests then (I believe) the bank are in breach.Jenni x0

But is the bank in breach if I have other DD contracts with 3uk that I need to keep?

Have you clearly identified the approved DDs to the bank, and clearly instructed them to not authorise ANY MORE NEW DDs from 3UK? And you have this in writing (email is OK)? Then yes.
Edited for clarity.Jenni x0 -
The bank wouldn't be, but you would be. You need to clearly identify the one DD you need to keep and make sure they don't reclaim that one.hardergamer said:Jenni_D said:DD guarantee - instruct the bank to refund ALL the payments that have been taken. I think the OP needs to move from 3, so there are no DD's going out. Or if Op has a 2nd bank account move the valid DD's to that account.
As I can see the confusion at both bank & 3 here.
Clearly someone has the OP's bank account details & is using them. I can see why 3 need the references, as that will be how they are tracing the accounts.
As Op does have legitimate payments to 3 it makes it harder at the banks end. As well there is the danger that they cancel the wrong one.Life in the slow lane0 -
Problem is that they're probably locked into a contract for at least 12 months.
I'd argue that the absolutely omnishambles they've made of things so far is more than enough reason for them to release the OP from the contract without penalty, but I don't know what legal grounds that would have (i.e. if they OP could force them).0
