Non receipt of goods bought on ebay and paid by paypal

I have very stupidly paid £266 for an item on ebay with my credit card thru paypal. I have not received this item and have not had any response from the seller. The seller had only 20 fedback which means paypal will only pay out a max of £150.Can anyone tell me if there is any way of getting the other £116 back from either ebay paypal or my credit card company. Or does anyone have experience of small claims courts to get the diffreence back? ie will it cost me more than I will get back? Thanks

  • Do a claim through your credit card, you will get the full amount back, it will be then up to paypal to get their money back from the seller.

How long has it been since the auction?
    I Hate Jobsworths!!!
  • The auction finished on 15th nov - i have a dispute open with paypal which automatically closes on 23rd Dec - should i try and claim the full amount with my cc or just the difference because paypal should pay £150 back.

Thanks everyone for their advice - keep it coming!

claim the full amount through your credit card - this will give paypal the kick up the proverbial.......
