Warning: possible scam Whistles site

I was looking to buy a dress for an upcoming event and came across what looked like a Whistles outlet site. Prices were advertised in £ Picked a dress, added to basket there were no shipping fees and went ahead and ordered.

Because I bank with Starling got a notification immediately and charge was nearly £9 higher than on the order form and now appeared in Yuan.

Immediately tried to cancel.the order. The site's only contact option is an online form which brings up a failed to send error message when go to send any message. Nor do they send an acknowledgement  email. There is no way to contact them.

I have already contacted Starling about a transaction reverse 🤞

    Grammar/punctuation in 'shipping' screams not-English.
    If there is any problems about the product, you must contact us within 3 days since you got your them
    There doesn't seem to be any information about delivery timescales.

    I never buy from a website that doesn't have a 'About us' page.

    If one isn't there it's a red flag.

    I don't think it makes much difference.  Plenty of these Chinese sites have them with a load of old waffle that's probably copied and pasted from somewhere else anyway.

    I think the difference it makes is the realisation that you are not actually dealing with a respected company that's been in business for 40 years but instead a scuzzy scam Chinese website that's probably copied and pasted their information from somewhere else.

    Personally, I find it easy to spot a scam website.
    But then again, I'm very careful about who I do business with.

    website registered 18th October...there will be loads of these sites pop up, take peoples money for Christmas purchases and then disappear again
    Shipping terms that don't make sense..." we are pleased to offer you a full refund(or send a new pair) under the following conditions" (probably originally copied from a shoe site)
    put that phrase into google and you will find a multitude of similar sites for discounted brand names, all registered recently, all with no or poor reviews (good not received etc)
    Loads of red flags here
