Are any of the big opticians still recycling old glasses? My local ones don’t seem to be taking donations anymore due to covid.

Most opticians took in glasses for vision aid overseas, it was always the charity's plan to wind up the recycling scheme by April this year but due to covid they stopped early due to lockdown. I have been unable to find another charity who take old specs --i spoke to our local lions club who were still accepting specs but they were also collecting for vision aid and have no other outlet so are no longer taking donations.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"2

Might be worth checking with your local Lions group still, the one in my area is still collecting. You were only killing time and it'll kill you right back2
