Yes, I saw that, but I also saw this:  The nearest permanently inhabited place is Alert in the Qikiqtaaluk Region, Nunavut, Canada, which is located 817 km (508 mi) from the Pole.

Lapland is in Finland. At least, Santa's bit is.

I think it depends if you are US or UK
Canada for US and Finland for a lot of Europe
