Nationwide unknown CREDITS

Both my NW accounts have credits of £3227 this morning. I haven't yet managed to get through to them to report this. The phone line puts me on hold for 10 minutes, then rings and cuts off; the Chat button simply says "Connection unavailable"
Is this a general glitch?
In passing, why do Nationwide hate communicating nowadays?

Do you have any maturing savings accounts? Investments withdrawals? Insurance claims? I'd wait a few days and see whether a letter turns up. In the old days you received letters with cheques attached but these days the money often arrives first.0
