Kitchen floor tiles

SWMBO keeps showing me photos of kitchens where the floor tiles appear to be seamless ie little to no gap.
Is this just lighting and angles? Coloured grout? Or are there some sort of special tiles?

The top one has a gap, the bottom one looks like an LVT, which won't need a gap. The middle one, not sure but given that it looks identical to a Porcelanosa
floor tile that I have been known to use, I'll go with tile and colour matched grout.
Top one will be a tile with colour matched grout, but it's hard to keep it that way.LVT is probably what she's looking for if no grout gap is wanted.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Have been to topps tiles and eurocladding so far. Are there any reputable places you’d recommend?1 -
Porcelanosa have a genuine 40% off sale.Genuine trade also get a decent chunk off their contract ranges, year round. There's a company in Wales called Laporsa that do similar porcelain tiles at lower prices.
Topps are not cheap for what they sell. I rarely use them.Walls & Floors are a good online retailer.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

You don't want ceramic floor tiles unless they are porcelain. There will probably be some good independent tile suppliers local to you - there certainly are in my area (nothing wrong with Porcelanosa). The best thing might be to get recommendations for a good tiler then ask them for recommended suppliers.Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.1

When choosing to floor for the kitchen, something durable and waterproof is a good idea to prevent floor failures from splashes and spills.

Don't discount a natural product, we have honed limestone with a matched grout (all very light in colour). We have wet UFH with the limestone on the entire ground floor. It has been down since 2006 and takes little in maintenance.
I laid it and sealed it with Lithofin. It supposedly should be looked after but we haven't - it's been power cleaned (Lithofin) twice in this time and resealed but apart from that I just sweep it and steam clean when I feel it needs doing.
We live in the middle of nowhere so shoes, wellies, chickens, dogs and children have schlepped across it during this time.
Whatever you decide, if you go for a solid tile then use something like Ditra Mat underneath - it will prevent cracks and heartbreak.0 -
