In desperation after numerous call attempts I sent this email to BG today.
Two questions.
1 I noted when I googled the issue that the first response was dated 2012 and detailed how the executive felt that BG had lost the trust of its customers. 2012!! Has nothing changed?
2 Do the new rules on price discrimination against loyal customers also apply to BG’s  Homecare offering?

I have received email reminders from BG that my service is overdue and inviting me to book a slot.

1 Using the app that hasn’t worked for days simply gives the message that BG is ‘looking in to it…try later’ No company is offline that long unless perhaps it’s deliberate policy.

That route is closed.

2 A phone call merely has the response that BG is only accepting calls about emergencies.

That route is closed.

3 Attempting to use the ‘Message Us’ facility online elicits the message that there is no one available to help.

That route is closed.

This is not just today. BG’s non response has been like this for over a week now.

The emergency booking wait was in this area 3 weeks but despite all this BG has the ability to inform me that my Homecare agreement (already twice the price of its advertised indicated price) will rise by over 3 times the rate of inflation.

What is going on?

And as I might have expected Kate Collins to whom this message was originally sent is out of the office until Dec 3.

That route is closed

Is there any way to contact BG? I’m not about to lie that it’s an emergency and I can’t wait until the next AGM although it is a forum to publicise the situation.

Not quite sure what you're looking for here - are you expecting that someone from BG might see this? I'm not aware that they post on here at all I'm afraid. If you're looking for alternative telephone numbers to try though someone may be able to help. I've quickly looked back at info I had from them when I was a customer but the only number I have for them is 0800 072 8629 which you may already have tried.  I do believe that others have had success in contacting them via Twitter messages though, so it could be worth trying that route if you have access to it?

If you have twitter you can message them. I can see responses so I think people are getting through to raise issues
