Your post is really difficult to read due to a lack of punctuation and paragraphs.
From what I can make out:
- your husband signed up with LGV and paid £1400 to do his HGV licence in May.
- they said they would put him through his written theory and test with weekly feedback from practice.
- they stopped contacting him since June.
- in August you contacted the bank for a chargeback.
- the company responded offering a £249 refund as this was all he was entitled to as per their T&Cs that your husband signed.
The fact your husband is dyslexic is irrelevant. There are apps that you point at a page and it reads it for you. Never sign a contract until you have read and understood it.
Has the company delivered any training so far? If so, then he is not entitled to a full refund. Can you please explain clearly what you have an haven't received so far.
You say your husband already has a category C licence? So what has he signed up to do then?
I would try and refrain from sending any more messages to them if they read anything like the above, as it will be near impossible for someone to work out what you are trying to say or ask for, and I wonder if they were not able to understand your communication efforts. Perhaps you could get someone else to help write the emails for you?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)3 -
First of all, paragraphs. A wall of text is near impossible to read, and if your complaint reads like the above it'll probably be filed under 'bin'.
Next, only include what's relevant. Cancer, dyslexia etc all have no bearing on the complaint so leave them out.
Send them a well-structured factual complaint (keeping to the point) and if spelling and grammar are an issue then ask a friend / family member to read it through.
When companies are dealing with complaints, they want to know 2 things - what you want, and why you think it's justified.
