Morning all...Going to be another cold one, so lighting fire is the next priority. I didn't get cat food so I must make the trek to BM, it's theoretically not that far, old me could have done it in fifteen minutes, new me takes a lot longer and doesn't like it...but hey ho, cats gotta eat....I must be a church mouse when OH is on lates, because he always goes to bed late and sleeps late...So I'll wait for him to get up to start the day bashing and crashing, I have plans for everything to be moved everywhere, need to make space for the sofa and chairs. I'm seriously considering renting a car, a local one is half the price of a national one, it's already cost me quite a bit in other transport and after being on the bus yesterday back from town, I'm not impressed. It was half an hour late and as a consequence, packed full. I'll have a think...It's funny how much I'm missing tru being here to be honest and purely for selfish reasons, her carols perked up the whole of December for me. I also went through a few older posts last night and noticed how many missing people there actually are - quite a few...I'm one that quite likes Christmas, I love the twinkly lights, I don't give a stuff about presents, could definitely live without them, but I love the light against the dark and I suppose, weirdly for some, totally normally for me, I believe in Father Christmas...who just happens to have been given the form of a jolly fatman for now.Take it easy today, toast some memories....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi14

            Morning
Very cold here again but lovely blue sky and sun. makes me harp back to warm spa days. Instead I keep adding layers and now look like the michelin man on a Zimmer
Yesterday I had an Asda delivery so dinners are sorted for a while I got a couple of joints too for over christmas. Lovely delivery driver brought it in and unpacked it despite being 2hrs over on his shift. Had a lovely chat with Rubes in the evening
Today I need to try and get the rest of my rubbish to the bins which is akin to a marathon run for me note to self do one bit every day in future.
Finished Married at First Sight so I need to find another mindless tat series.
Sad tru is awol I miss our carols. Happy birthday Mr Ruby that meal sound awesome plus you can wear your birthday present from Ruby whilst you enjoy it
Thinking of Dumplings family she loved Christmas so much this will be especially difficult for them.
Gers How lovely of your neighbour
Have a lovely day and keep warm

Morning all, dear me Nmlc it sounds worrying at your work atm, hope it's sorted. Clear, bright with car windows needing defrosted earlier.Ds1 picked up DH on the way to work so DGs popped in for a quick wee and to say hello to the dog and to open Day 2 on the choccie advent calendar and to open Day 2 on the choccie advent calendar DH popped home yesterday morning so we could go to the bank to sort out a new card etc after a fraudulent transaction. He hadn't lost his card so not sure how it's happened but the bank flagged it up because they'd tried it about 5 times!SM delivery and veg box arriving shortly. The DGC were surprised to find that our tree wasn't up when they came after school, and the elf was nowhere to be seen! Better see if I can find him.I know what you all mean -it does all seem a lot of work these days, though I do like the lights once they're up.Right, I shall wish you as good a day as possible, and hugs for the sad or ill xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Meant to say TA I agree about the decs. I know I'm probably considered the Grinch of the close because I don't string up icicle lights outside or even have a big tree but it works for me so I don't much care. I am a voyeur though and love looking at others displays. When I was with my ex we went all out and would hold an epic christmas party for all the neighbours. Not the same when its just you.
I will pay homage to the season with a small white branch tree and a wicker snowman I love.11

            Morning all.
Thanks for the thread nmlc and hugs to all those in need.
I used to love trimming the house for Christmas even after the children left home but Steve hate Christmas with a vengeance and his constant grumping has ruined it for me so I now l no longer bother. I sometimes have a sprig of mistletoe up or a line sprig.
 Have a good day everyone.
 Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.11

Rosy, I received a new bank card by surprise on Tuesday, apparently their system thought my details may be used fraudulently.
Nelski, are you still near that lovely Indian by the motorway services? I'm over the new bridge in Runcorn nowadays but have a brother & his family off the top end of Cromwell Avenue 😉2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
