Hello everyone and welcome to the December challenge.
This is the 170th month of this challenge, which was first started by Batgirl, in September 2007. Here is a link to the original thread as I am sure some of you are interested to read where it all began.

Thanks to Batgirl for starting it and for everyone who has kept it going for more than 13 years ( 14 years now I think!)
The original purpose of this challenge was to help people to try and make an extra £10 a day on top of their normal income to help things along. Ie paying off debt, making savings, paying for holidays, overpaying mortgages etc.
If you feel £10 is too much why not start at £5 (or less if you want) or if you're brave join those who aim for £20 a day! Anything extra you make is great so set whatever target you think you can manage. It also doesn't have to be £10 each and every day - some days you make more and some days you make less, but aim for £310 (or whatever your target is) extra at the end of the month.
The idea is that everyone posts how they are making extra money and these shared ideas help all of us to learn new ways to help cut debt or earn/save money.
What cannot be added:
Wages from your main job
What can be added:
Overtime
Income from a second job
Daily clicks
Interest
Vouchers
Mystery shopping
And much, much more.
So, join us and see how much you can make this month!

Below are some ideas to get you started and a great place to read when you're in need of inspiration.
Sell your old books/DVDs/CDs/games here:
Amazon.co.uk, play.com, webuybooks, zapper, CEX
eBay - a place to sell anything and everything.
Gumtree, Preloved, cquot, ebid, craigslist, vivastreet, netmums.com, trade-it , Friday ad, priceminster - these are all places you can sell items too.
Survey sites - mysurvey and pinecone, prolific academic tend to be the best but there are many more it really depends on you finding the ones that work best for you - toluna, harris poll, valued opinions etc
also join Topcashback and Quidco - type in surveys in the search engine and some will pay you to join up with them.
Mobile phone to recycle? try https://www.onrecycle.co.uk/sell-my-phone/
etsy and folksy - If you enjoy making crafts why not have a go at selling them on etsy or folksy. They've been getting increasingly busier each year.
Collect loyalty points for shopping - Tesco clubcard, Boots Advantage card, Morrisons More card, Superdrug Beautycard, Nectar card (please let me know if there are any more loyalty cards to add)
You can also go through Nectar to earn points for shopping at ebay.
Trying to find other ways to make money? Check out the Boost Your Income board. It is full of ideas, including survey companies and product testing.

Thank you @makingmehappyvfor doing this again!
I am starting off by withdrawing my survey money so £29.44, need to check my Premium Bonds so fingers crossed.
I saw this thing about Carboodle and free books. You get points for signing up, entering competitions and registering book vouchers and you can then claim free books. I don’t know if it would be of any interest to anyone? It might be a slow burner unless you get book vouchers, but one to add to the Christmas box maybe?

So Premium Bonds results are checked and it’s only £25 this month
PBs £25
Surveys £29.44
I have probably another £30 on survey sites but is P%necone and Swagbucks which are fiddly to get cold hard cash. I do have some on Prolific but am waiting on a bit more to be approved.
This is is going to be a tough month I have a second job shift next weekend which will be about £75 ish, but no idea Yet where there rest of it is coming from. I am doing a little comping, so fingers crossed on that!
I am not counting this, but I also used up three very ripe bananas to make some banana bread and that felt pretty good.

I thought I should update on a Sunday night.
Survey Money is now at £48.67
Second job £65
i have a Shopmium claim pending as well.
I won’t count it as DH was going to pay, but we saved £100 on buying something and when we mentioned it to friends they had one in their garage that they gave us, so really happy with that!Debt Free - done

Hi Shineyhappy, thanks for updating. I've got some small cashback pending, but will add when I've withdrawn it. I must do some surveys, I keep putting them off and only really doing swagbucks.Don't worry about calming the storm. Calm yourself, the storm will pass.1

I don’t find Swagbucks pay that well, but I am not good at hitting daily targets so don’t get all the bonuses, which must help. I tend do do any videos and the daily poll. No idea how some people seem to do so well in the challenges on there. I am going to use my Swagbucks for charitable donations and put the cash equivalents into this challenge though, so maybe that will encourage me to do more.
I am hoping to get to the £50 targets on Populus and You Gov at some point next year.
I won a book from the comps board that I was going to treat myself to, so will add that when it arrives at £5 and I won 10p on the Topcashback advent whoop! if you have a TCB account and haven’t been doing the advent clicks then I would recommend finding the page on the main comps board and clicking through on the daily clues, you can do the daily clue retrospectively but not the pages where people have accidentally found the hummingbird
