Nappy changing bags

My Mum and Dad are treating me to a nappy changing bag for Christmas for the upcoming arrival of the bump.

I have a budget of around £60 and would love something a bit different as i am mad about handbags and this will be taking over.

Can anyone recommend a nice designery look changing bag that it is still practical.

Its my first baby so im not sure what is it important and what's not.

Thanks to everyone in advance.

Not sure what we considered "important" in a nappy changer bag... we just used an old rucksack! Went easily over the handles of the pushchair, too.
  • If you have a look at Kipling, OiOi, Skip Hop they all do lovely changing bags. Make sure it has holders for bottles, separate sections for dirty clothes/nappies etc I have always preferred changings that secifically clip around the pushchair/pram handles rather than just hanging it off by the large strap IYSWIM as they tend to be out of the way more :) I would also try get one thats wipable/washable as they soon become pretty grubby.

I think with the quality changing bags the features are all pretty similar :)
Wife to a great husband and mum to 4 fantastic kids 9,8,4,3 they drive me mad but I would do anything and give everything for my family :grinheart

I have had *lots* of changing bags over the years and the best one by far (will be using it again this time round) is the Skip Hop Dash. It clips on the pushchair handles, very spacious, compartments to organise.

Think they're in the region of £50.

One with pockets so you can keep liquids such as bottles and hand washing gel upright in case of leaks.

One with it's own changing mat, as sometimes the facilities in baby rooms are left in a mess.

One with different sections including a waterproof one in case you have to change poopy, wet, sicky etc., clothes when you are out.

One that has room for your purse, phone etc., if you don't want to carry a seperate handbag.

A dark coloured one that can go in the washing machine as they do get grubby.

Can't comment on the designer. I'm just using the one that came free from Huggies with the Boots parent club, but I'm guessing that might not be trendy enough :D
Here I go again on my own....
  • If you want something gorgeous then it's a Yummy Mummy bag by Pink Lining! They are so lovely. They can be expensive mind. Ebay is good, you can pick brand new ones up off there. Failing that John Lewis.

I would just say "more than one!" I usually had at least two on the go, depending whether I was going out in the car or on foot, how long I was out for etc. I think my fave was one someone had made: it was a cross shaped strip with a mat going down the upright and pouches at the bottom, then the 'arms' unfolded and had more pouches. So you put it down, unfolded it, popped baby on it and there was everything to hand! Whereas with a proper bag it would be buried in the bag, even if that had pockets or pouches! Then you folded it all up again and poppered it back together.

and I'll tell you what I always forgot to put in mine in the early days - pads for me! Although in the VERY early days I just didn't leave the house ...

    Hiya x

Have you joined the Boots parenting club? They have a voucher for a free black one ( when you buy some nappies) which i got for hubby so I could go out and get a girly one! Although now I have been sensible and got the matching one that clips on to my mutsy frame! Urgh not half as pretty as the ones on here.

Here are a few of my faves

These are from America - I think they are fab CLICK

    A Cath Kidston one CLICK

Room Seven - like Oilily CLICK

I like these ones too - and they are in the sale CLICK

Aww I am soo jealous. I want a nice girly one. Mine is plain black and soo boring. ha ha
