Signs cannot be read because it was dark and no lighting

I have received a parking ticket from I park services. The car park I parked in was unlit and the display signs were also unlit - the photographs they have sent show it being dark you can hardly make out the car shape and only the registration. Obviously they rejected my appeal and previous posts say it is waste of time to appeal to the IAS. Any advice on what I should do now- does it influence things that I live in Scotland but the car park was in England?

I hope you didn't reveal the driver's identity when The Keeper appealed, as currently a keeper cannot be held liable in Scotland. Note that this will change next year when the Transport Bill (Scotland) becomes active thanks to your dear leader importing a law from England and Wales to be make a keeper liable even if they were the other side of the world at the time.
A court claim in Scotland is unlikely for a single ticket, but wait and see what happens. It will become statute barred in 5 years.
What happened when the keeper complained to the landowner?
Has the keeper complained to their MSP yet?
If the driver's identity has not been revealed, the keeper could try an IAS appeal.

Please read the newbies and let us have much more information without revealing who was driving. Also consider complaining to yur MP.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Nothing will happen in Scotland. Read other Scotland threads.
Be aware that the law North of the border will change next year for new private parking tickets and 'keeper liability' will come in. Doesn't affect old rubbish like this chancer of a charge. Sit tight.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Was this for a parking event at the NFU Mutual premises near Penrith? If so, do a forum search on keywords 'IPark NFU Mutual' and read other similar cases which might give you some background to this recent entrapment site. I believe the NFU responded positively to a glut of complaints about a year ago.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

To help with that, have a read of this item from the Forum's FAQs:Can I change my username?
In most circumstances, we don't allow this.
