Hello
I set up my own business in 2018 but since end 2019 I have been claiming ESA due to breast cancer and subsequent treatment. Im still unable to work.
I cant see any relevant advice on DWP/HMRC websites about completing a tax return in my circumstances so I wondered if anyone had been in a similar situation and how they managed their tax return?
Thanks for any advice

I think - although not an expert - that you continue to send a tax return until HMRC say it is no longer necessary, even if no tax is due. You can ask HMRC if you can stop doing this, and if you do not anticipate returning to self-employment any time soon that would strengthen your case for this request.Signature removed for peace of mind1
