Car Insurance for over 80 Female

Hi

My car insurance is due in January next year.  I am currently paying close to £500.00 per annum.  I have 10 years no claims bonus, my husband is the only other named driver.  Is it possible there are insurance companies out there who are not put off insuring an 80 year old female.  Thank you.

Your quote is below the UK average so sounds like not many are being put off. Insurers cannot rate general insurance on gender any more so female, male, non-binary etc makes no difference. Age will mean premiums increase over time as claims experience is generally adverse in later years as it is with younger drivers (though not to the same extent)

I would just run your details through the usual comparison sites - GoCompare, Moneysupermarket etc - and pick from there.
